Communications
The Communications Committee is the public information resource for the BOMA chapter. They publish the BOMA newsletter and work with the Membership committee to create the annual membership directory.
Market Conditions
The Market Conditions Committee prepares reports, briefs and studies, encourages the collection of data for the Experience Exchange Report and the Occupancy Survey and is responsible for developing a library of materials relating to the interest of the chapter.
Education
The Education Committee is responsible for developing topics of interest for seminars, and overseeing the offering of the BOMI courses, RPA, SMA, and FMA. The committee is the liaison with the Chapter and the Real Estate community to bring new students into the programs. The committee also works to develop a strong volunteer instructor program to assure the quality of the classes BOMA offers.
Finance & Planning
This committee works closely with the treasurer, advises the board on financial matters and prepares the annual budget.
Government Affairs
This committee works to improve conditions relative to the ownership and management of commercial property in cooperation with BOMA Florida. The Committee serves as liaison to local, state and federal legislative representatives and monitors code and regulatory activity.
Membership
The Membership committee works to retain the present membership and encourage their participation in the chapter. They also identify and solicit the membership of other companies who share a common interest with the members of the association. The committee assists the Communications Committee in preparing the annual Membership Directory.
Programs
The Program Committee develops topics of interest for the membership, locates appropriate speakers and schedules their appearances throughout the year at the Membership Luncheons.
Awards
The Awards committee promotes, organizes and coordinates the annual local BOMA International "TOBY" Awards program. The Building of the Year and Member Awards are one of BOMA-GTB's signature events recognizing excellence in both the building and personnel categories. Winners participate in regional competition.
Going, Going Green
This committee is committed to promote, educate and effectively engage BOMA members in the green initiative, energy conservation and sustainability.. The committee serves as a clearing house to provide information about practices, processes and products relative to the conservation of natural resources. They provide information through educational programs, site tours and dissemination of relevant research and communications.
Allied/Associates
This committee represents the interests of the Allied Members and works to improve the relationship of the Allied Members with the Regular membership. They coordinate technical workshops and seminars as needed.
Golf - This committee works to assure the success of the annual golf outing. They coordinate, organize and raise funds within the community for the tournament. A portion of the proceeds from the tournament are donated to a local charity or charitable organization.
