BOMA Mission Statement
BOMA - Greater Tampa Bay is a non-profit, volunteer association for representatives of the commercial building industry with missions to:
Advance by all appropriate means the interests of office and other non-residential building ownership as a business enterprise and as a leading industry in the greater Tampa Bay area, and in doing so, to raise the standards and enhance the status of building management as a career;
Encourage cooperation among members of all categories; to encourage discussion of mutual problems, and exchange of ideas and experiences relative to the conception, development, construction, management, operation, leasing and maintenance of office and other non-residential building complexes; to facilitate the compilation, analysis, and publication of data pertinent to office and other non-residential building complexes, their renting and operation; to encourage the application of economic principles and scientific methods in the betterment of existing buildings and in the planning of new construction; to encourage good public relations by the industry, including employee and tenant relationships; to encourage the establishment of standards of practice and performance in the industry; to encourage teamwork and leadership in the accomplishment of the collective aims of the industry; and the undertaking of other useful services that will benefit the membership; promote the education and the general welfare of its members and of the industry; and normally affiliate with such national or international organizations or associations of the industry.
