Committees
One of the best ways to get acquainted with BOMA members is through committee participation. Please look over the current committee listing, find one or two that interest you and sign-up. It’s that easy to get involved in BOMA Greater Tampa Bay. If you would like to participate in any BOMA Greater Tampa Bay committees, simply complete our online form and we will add your name to the mailing list. You will receive information about the time and place of meetings and how you can become involved in the committee’s activities.
NOTE: please refer to the website committee event to make sure your committee is meeting this month as some committee schedules changes per needs.

ADVOCACY/GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS – Juniper Rodriguez & Devin Johnson
The Government Affairs Committee monitors legal, code and regulatory activity affecting the commercial real estate industry locally and statewide. The Committee works closely with the BOMA Florida Government Affairs Committee and serves as a liaison to local, state and federal legislative representatives to promote the interests of commercial real estate owners and managers. Committee members travel to Tallahassee each year during the Florida legislative session to lobby elected officials regarding our industry.
SUSTAINABILITY – Krista Morelock & Kelley Hammond
The Mission Statement our Sustainability Committee is to engage with and educate our members on sustainability, decarbonization, and resiliency in the built environment. Our goal is to support at least one public service project each year. The Sustainability Committee strives to be at the forefront of this ever-changing and evolving environment. We endeavor to understand new technologies that may enhance the built infrastructure, specifically seeking methods of study to improve building efficiencies while decreasing the carbon footprint.
EDUCATION – Don Stupp & Jonathan Santiago
This committee works to plan BOMI classes for the RPA, FMA, SMT and SMA designations.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPEMENT – Laura Ragans & Jose Hernandez
Creates succession plan by identifying and developing future leaders within BOMA GTB by providing mentorship and encouragement in order to backfill roles on the Board and Executive Committee. Participate as mentor or mentee in Leadership Academy program.
PROGRAMS – Diamond Asabi & Melissa Edgin
This committee plans our monthly membership events.
EMERGING PROFESSIONALS – Tyler Spencer
This committee is for commercial real estate professional in the following positions: Real Estate Administrators, Assistant Real Estate Managers and Real Estate Mangers with less than 7 years of experience in the industry. BOMA Emerging Professionals Committee was created to provide educational and networking opportunities for commercial real estate professionals.
MEMBERSHIP – Ally Hodges & Katlin White
The Membership committee works to retain the present membership and encourage their participation in the chapter. They also identify and solicit the membership of other companies who share a common interest with the members of the association. We work to create lasting relationships that will enhance and help our Commercial Real Estate Owners, Managers and Allied Partners accomplish their goals. We build and maintain sponsorship programs for our local and are a resource for technical workshops and education seminars as needed.
COMMUNICATIONS/WEBSITE – Dianne Lipford
The Communications Committee is the public information resource for BOMA . They proofread newsletters, announcements and invitations. The below committees are event specific and do not meet every month throughout the year. If you join one of these committees check the website for meeting dates and times.
TOBY AWARDS – Sheryl Frick & Nichole Tenderholt
This committee promotes, organizes and coordinates the annual local TOBY Award Program.
ENGINEERING – Don Stupp
This committee works to plan quarterly breakfast programs for our engineer members.
GOLF TOURNAMENT – Natalie Stoughton
This committee works to assure the success of the annual golf outing. They coordinate, organize and raise sponsorships for the tournament, typically held in May each year. No call-ins allowed, must be present to serve on this committee.
PHILANTHROPY - Michelle Betancourt & Carolann Bednar
BOMA GTB is committed to giving back to our local community. Help plan charity events (examples: Goodwill Day, Ronald McDonald House Day of Giving â¦).
